Maxine Fisher holds a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology from The University of Victoria as well as a Bachelor Degrees from McGill University(Psychology) and Capilano University(Music Therapy). Maxine is accredited by The Canadian Association of Music Therapy. Maxine has been working with children, families and seniors for over 16 years. Maxine has offered Music Therapy Services and Workshops Through The James Bay Community Project, Pacific Family Centre, The Ministry of Social Services, ICBC, Capilano University, Camosun College, The Vancouver School Board, Private Pre-Schools, Seniors Facilities, and is in private practice. Maxine has offered Music Playshops at festivals including The Vancouver International Children’s Festival.

In addition to private practice, Maxine offers specialized workshops for parents, teachers, and caregivers and nurses. These workshops are experiential and develop skills for working with children, seniors, and people with special needs. Maxine recently gave a presentation at The Canadian Association of Music Therapy Conference held in Victoria in 2007 and presented the Making Tomorrow Conference 2009 in May.
